A blog for the senses

Surrounded by darkness, cold chilling throughout, suddenly a color of hope. The rise of a creature said to warm the world. One who will pierce the darkness and engulf the surroundings with life. A soft song begins, the source is hidden in the distance. A slow methodical beat begins to approach. The two sounds create a comforting melody. Another methodical beat joins the first. This one is faster and approaches much quicker. The soft song stops and starts again. The two beats continue to approach, the fast beat becoming more and more pronounced. The soft song stops abruptly and is replaced with quick pattering, then silence. The faster beat is here. Sudden pressure on my side. The pressure lasts...1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9-10. It stops and the beat begins again, speedily retreating this time. The soft song begins again. The slow beat passes without confrontation. Suddenly a warm beam extricates the morning dew. The song fades. The creature is back. Life begins to seep into the surroundings. Another beautiful day has begun for the wall in the park.
